"Where faith leads to healing and freedom."

Welcome

Have you ever worked on a project where no matter the effort you put in, you ended up farther behind than when you started?  For example, you complete a homework assignment only to realize you did it all wrong.  Or maybe after shoveling the snow out of the driveway, the next snowfall scoffs at your labor by dumping even more snow.  Worse yet, perhaps you work tirelessly on cleaning the house and after all that work, the house is even more unkempt 10 minutes later (thanks to your kids, spouse, or roommate)!  Mr. Incredible summarizes this feeling best, "I just cleaned up this mess, could you keep it clean for 10 minutes?"

These are frustrating, maddening, and defeating experiences.  Even more frustrating however, is our emotional and mental health can resemble this sentiment.  With every strenuous step forward, challenges are awaiting to knock us back two additional steps.  It is often in these moments when we might ask ourselves, "Will it ever be different? Will I ever be different?"

Anxiety, depression, loneliness, and many other challenges all weigh down the heart and cause hopelessness.  While the anguish you feel may seem it's lasting a lifetime, we believe that the best is yet to come for you.  Through leaning into curiosity, moving away from judgment, and learning to walk in truth, the desired change you seek is possible!  Psalm 30:5 states, "Though weeping may stay in the night, rejoicing comes in the morning."  Whether this statement feels right at your fingertips or beyond the horizon, we believe and hold this hope for you.

We would love the chance to connect with you, hear your story, and walk alongside you.

About Kerstetter Counseling

Welcome! We are honored you chose to spend some time getting to know us.

Kerstetter Counseling started as a dream by both Michael and Emilee to one day work together.  Since marriage, we have discussed countless ways to help those who are lost, hurting, and broken find healing.  Through our education, training, and acquired skillsets, we feel beyond blessed to provide encouragement through our counseling practice.

Starting the counseling process can come with hesitation, like dipping your toe into a cold pool deciding whether or not to make the plunge.  Certainly, this is an understandable feeling.  And because of this, we want to make the counseling process for you as seamless as possible.

We would love for you to learn more about us, our background, and how we want to help you.  In turn, we hope for the opportunity to learn more about you.

Let's connect online and get started!
